I had reservations with a couple of friends on a Saturday and man was the place packed! We ordered their kaarage and tempura to start as well as their sushi tasting and mystery box. Quality of the fish was fresh with a good fish to rice ratio. Their mystery box was definitely worth the price with two pieces of thickly cut sashimi in each little cup. Overall, great prices, good quality of fish, and so many options!

What a tasty box of fish! For what we got, this was a pretty good deal - 18 pieces of sushi (nigiri + sashimi) for about 60pp. The fish was fresh and light, and I loved all the different types of fish we got in this box. The presentation was also super cute, and had great service. Highly recommend Sasa for your next sushi fix!

Absolutely love this place! It's my go-to sushi spot and has totally made me fall in love with sushi even more. I've been coming here forever, and it never disappoints. The prices are super affordable, especially considering the top-notch quality. Trust me, I'm pretty picky when it comes to food, and this place always impresses me. Honestly, it deserves some serious recognition like a Michelin star! The vibe is great, the food is amazing, and your wallet will thank you. Service very plasant. Food: 10 Service: 100 Ambiance: 10 I love you Sasa Crew. Ps. Do yourself a favor get the Uni and the oyster plsss.

Wow! I will preface this review by saying this is the best sushi I've ever had. I can't say I'm a sushi connoisseur but I knew I wanted to get sushi from Japan town while in SF. Nice ambiance for a restaurant inside a larger mall. Very cosy. Our server was so sweet and kind. We ordered a sashimi recommended by our server and the creamy scallop and creamy salmon. We did get a third roll but honestly we wish we had ordered another of the cream rolls. Every bite was heaven. TRY before you put on soy sauce. I love soy sauce. This did not need it at all. It's already so flavorful.

When in Rome, do as the Romans do--so when in SF Japantown, we needed sushi! I was thrilled my friend brought me here because I absolutely love sushi all the time! Food: 5/5 We ordered a lot because we wanted to try a variety of dishes. My favorites were the sashimi platter (cheaper than omakase) and the salmon sampler. It was a fantastic way to sample many different types of fish and leave feeling satisfied. My friend also enjoyed the sashimi but preferred the tuna sampler as she is a toro lover. Either way, everything was great. Spent pretty penny but so worth it! Service: 5/5 The staff was incredibly nice and attentive. They were super friendly and very knowledgeable, making the experience even better. Overall Experience All in all, I would definitely go back and try other dishes outside of sushi. The vibe was perfect for a date night, and I'm so happy I found a new favorite spot!

Went here for a birthday. Made reservations but they were 30 minutes late at getting us a table. HOWEVER, still FIVE STARS because boy did they make up for it. Omekase was amazing. Service was impeccable. They explained everything we were eating and checked on us often. Space is clean and modern. Even gave us a couple of complimentary items for the wait. Will definitely be back. I need to try the mystery box !

I came here for the omakase and made a reservation on Yelp. We were seated right away after arriving at our reservation time. The inside was nicely decorated, which was a surprising contrast with the outside mall aesthetic. After ordering, we were given soy sauce, ginger, and wasabi. The small bites included fried shrimp, eggplant, and a seaweed dish, with the fried shrimp being very crispy. Following that, we had a little bit of sashimi and our nigiri. All the nigiri was pretty nice, and the uni was particularly smooth and not too salty. The egg custard was silky and comforting, while the miso soup was fairly standard. Overall, it was a really nice experience. The service was quick, and the whole meal took about 1 hour and 15 minutes, with no long waits.

Walked in and waited less than 15 minutes on a Saturday night. We were seated at the sushi bar which was a great experience to watch the chefs. It was a bit noisy and our waitress wasn't very attentive (maybe because we were in the corner). Food was great though. For the Japantown spot, the price was good for the quality of food we got to try. Fish was very fresh and I was honestly surprised at the portion.

A very overdue review. I've been dining at Sasa on and off over the course of the last 5-6 years. My friend's friend owns this place and she first took me here years ago. I was immediately impressed with their quality of sushi, generous bento boxes and warm Japandi decor. Every time I come. I always get their bento box. The presentation, variety of items included and portion is perfect. Their sushi box is also very pretty and for a reasonable price. I've tried various items on their menu and I'm very impressed by how well they execute each item. Usually Japanese restaurants are really good at one thing, but they're good at sushi, bento boxes, appetizers and rolls. You really can't go wrong with anything you order here. They also offer 1hr parking validation if you park in the garage. Walk-in during lunch hours are the best times to visit.
